AccessAid starts relief projects in Central Somalia

New relief-oriented projects have been initiated by AccessAid this month. The projects, which are mainly funded by international donors, are expected to bring about a positive impact in Somalia and alleviate the acute impacts of the droughts in the region.

Introduction

The State collapse and civil war in Somalia followed by years of inter-clan conflict in Central regions of Somalia necessitated the formation of the Access Aid and Development. Access Aid is a humanitarian relief and development organization that was established in 2005 as a local non-governmental organization (LNGO).

Access Aid is a Somali non-governmental organization composed of Somali intellectuals living inside and outside the country. Access Aid is funded and supported by the Somali community as part of their commitment to contribute the development of their communities in the wider.

Access Aid was made with the aim to assist the communities that live in South and Central Somalia in general, particularly Galgadud region in order to facilitate their participation of the country’s development processes. The main office of the organization is in Abudwak,  and currently operates the districts of Balanbale Galgadud region ,Galdogob mudug region ,Puntland and got support office in Nairobi Kenya.

The organization likes to extend its activities to main towns/districts in South central regions and Puntland.

 

 

Current Projects
